Pros

This review is specific to ECD division where many folks were onboarded from EMC. Many positive side is due to the work culture carried forward from EMC but it is slowly eroding as OpenText enforces its narrow vision of squeezing everything and everybody. Politics is little less Average salaries.

Cons

No option for work from home. It is highly discouraged. You are thrown around from project to project at random. High pressure due to short 2 week sprints. Cost cutting in every thing imaginable. Cutting down team sizes to squeeze maximum work.

Pros

1. Free cab facility 2. 8.30-5.30 fixed timings 3. Leader in EIM - Only few products 4. Gym allowance and Educational allowance 5. Adopting to cloud with OT2 platform

Cons

1. Existing employees loosing trust and too much attrition from last 1-2 years. 2. People looking for change outside are also not preferring opentext. Too many walk-ins happening for developers. But none turning up for interviews. 3. Variable pay is cut short though company is making profits. 4. Very less pay compared to other product based companies. 5. Cafeteria is very small and only single vendor who serves worst food at high prices. 6. Very less or negligible hike. 7. Too many acquisitions and organizational changes. 8. No WFH options, stocks, performance bonus as compared to other product based companies. 9. Trying to get work done by experienced employees with interns or freshers. 10. Too many products with just 10-12 people working for single product. Not many features are delivered for every release. 11. Follows agile but hardly 1-2 releases per year for single product
