Pros

You can have a great work-life balance here This is a company managed by spreadsheets - great if you want to truly learn the economics of a software business Lots of acquisitions - always something new to learn and experience

Cons

This is a company with an insufferable CEO who insists on making every single decision, no matter how small. He has to be always right and he surrounded himself with a mediocre executive team that will never challenge any of his decisions. If you like meetings where nobody speaks up and everyone avoids eye contact, this is a company for you. If you love quarterly budget cuts, travel and hiring freezes, you will thrive here. If you don't mind complete lack of investment, living of maintenance from trapped customers who hate your company, yet have no choice but keep paying every year, this is the place! Most importantly, if you don't mind working exclusively with obsolete technology, you'll do great.

Pros

Good benefits, good pay, company direction made sense. They seem to buy up every little software company around and then try to fit them into their grand scheme.

Cons

very spread out teams, sometimes hard to find others in the company doing the same thing. Senior management seems to be trying to cut costs by hiring teams in India and then laying off the original team.
