Big Corporate

Pros

Good direct teammates and manager

Cons

Raises are pretty much non-existent; there is no cost of living raise so you are basically losing money if you stay at this company. There is no reward for loyalty as you will be making less than the person you are training in no time while the CEO brags about how much money the company rakes in. There were record profits while everyone was working from home (while we all had to take a pay cut) but now everyone is required to go back to to office to be micromanaged. There are hiring freezes and layoff constantly so they can move jobs overseas. It's just like any other big corporate job. You are just a number that they don't actually care about.

Work here only if you do not have anything better as a temporary solution

Pros

Paying good salaries to newcomers to try to attract people. It is becoming increasingly complicated for them to find people willing to join.

Cons

The CEO is a micro-manager who has a say in everything. As a consequence, everything slows down, and managers become insecure as their decisions are constantly put into question. Best people are leaving or being laid off. Margin optimization, they say. What they say differs from what they do (regarding products, people management, dealing with third parties). There is a big halo of distrust in the company.
