Pros

work life balance 8 to 5 job

Cons

I joined OpenText in August after being interviewed for a Java profile. However, upon joining, I was assigned to the Content Server team. As a Senior Software Engineer, I was expected to contribute to design aspects despite limited scope for design innovation within the product. In the first six months, I made decent progress. However, my manager lacked technical depth in Content Server and OScript and relied solely on architects for decisions. He frequently compared me to other Senior Engineers in the team and said I was underperforming. Despite my consistent efforts, I was placed on a PIP, which felt more like a pressure tactic than a constructive measure. I resigned myself and cracked two product-based companies.
