Business Outlook
Pros
Free Friday lunch, bagels on Thursdays, drinks and snacks. Most employees are friendly. We had a break room with pool and ping pong tables. An illusion of opportunity. I really wanted to work here for a long time.
Cons
When the company sold, there was an obvious shift in culture. Respected coworkers were being let go. All new hires were in sales and marketing or senior management. There are some very smart people in engineering, but they can be arrogant. The IT side lacked in organisation and ability because positions are filled with non IT people, making it another tier of customer service. So much red tape to get anything done. So much fear of change. Poor promotion decisions.
