Pros

There are plenty of job openings Most of my actual team is amazing Benefits start day 1 PTO starts day 1

Cons

Upper management is terrible. They have high expectations for the local staff but do not help or participate in anything at all. Upper management does not understand what the work load actually is. Expect to work 12+ hours a day, but not get paid for it. No work life balance. Pay would actually be decent if one could work a 40 hour work week. Upper management does not consider the local staff, they cut the good people and keep the bad because they're less expensive I guess? Lack of communication from upper management, minimal contact with local branch, and when they show up, they hide in an office with the door shut. Speed is valued over accuracy, very alarming in healthcare PTO policy is use it or lose it, but then they cut staff, so count on losing it. Employees are quitting in droves. Benefits are expensive

Pros

The best, and only good thing, about OC is the patients.

Cons

Mid and regional level mgt do not relay relevant information to lower level mgt. employee feedback not taken seriously. Changes are made with the financial aspect being the only consideration. Best practices for the patient population take a back seat to corporate, regional and mid-level mgt bonuses. Nurses work extremely long days (15+ hours) then are reprimanded for OT while lower level mgt is held accountable for making sure patients are taken care of AND keeping OT to a minimum. Staffing is cut, mileage reimbursement is lowered, vacation/sick time benefits are cut and wage increases are frozen while corporate/regional/mid level mgt bonuses increase

Pros

Best team of people I have ever worked with. The talent in this office is insanely good!

Cons

Mandatory OT, threatening behaviors from upper leadership, if you speak up or have ideas for change you're ostracized. I have never seen fellow nurses treated with such disrespect. I am shocked and appalled.
