      Layoffs are so 90's

      Pros

      Layoffs are lame. Unlimited PTO is cool Tons of opportunity to work on different projects not necessarily projects you were hired to work on. 100% Remote work is great for awhile

      Cons

      Management direction changes with the seasons No clear career path explanations No mentorships No internal/external feedback mechanisms. No chance to move to other teams I would consider working at Optiv as a "beginner-friendly" place to work as a consultant. The sales process to get a client onboard takes forever. Want to be invited to a conference? It's about who you know.

      Unlimited PTO (depending on the team/manager, this may not mean much)

      Cons

      As a previous review had said, the company/senior management will be adamant that their employees are safe from layoffs but it is the complete opposite. It seems that entire teams are being let go. Management needs to re-evaluate their current business plans because it isn't working.

      Work life balance is available in some teams. Learning opportunities may be an option, also not available to all.

      Cons

      Optiv promises no Layoffs will happen and then go right ahead to lay off employees quietly. The same thing happened in 2017, in 2020 and now in 2022. Not a place to build a career. Takes years for promotions to happen in some departments. They will lay you off and retain teammates in India because it’s cheaper to do some. No consideration for work quality.
