Pros

The budget for training is decent. If you're in the in-crowd, you're solid and protected.

Cons

Personal feelings get in the way of business more often than not. The Attack and Penetration team used to be a really solid group, but with current management it's turned in to a pentest puppy mill. Promoting from within is great, if you expand outside of your friends, and actually train managers to be managers prior to them taking on a team.

Pros

The work life balance you get when working from home is amazing. The leadership has been great and the team is extremely talented. The on boarding process was very streamlined. They do a great job of providing steady, meaningful work without overloading you like some other firms. Overall I look forward to working everyday and have no regrets about joining Optiv.

Cons

Health benefits are slightly higher than I am used to but not horrible.

Healthcare is among the worst in the industry. Payscales and compensation rates have changed/been uncertain each year since the merger.
