Very Streamlined Work Structures and Skilled Team
Pros
I joined Optiv a couple of months ago as a Sr. Penetration Tester. Whole interview process and on-boarding were very structured, and I honestly enjoyed every piece of them. (Especially the technical interview part was the most fun :] ). From submitting my resume to getting an offer, it only took about 2 weeks, and I was well communicated and updated by their recruiting team. Specifically, Priya Sunil (Sr. Talent Acquisition) was wonderful during the both processes to answer any questions and resolve any issues I had. Team culture is also amazing and all the people I met here are highly skilled and knowledgeable on what they do. Most consultants are working remote; however, we are fully active online and share things all the time. One of the most things that I enjoy at Optiv (especially our penetration testing service) is streamlined work structures. I used to be in other consulting firms but Optiv is the best in terms of how to manage clients/projects/testing engagements. I am super satisfied about this as I always want to be organized when I do projects/engagements. Above all, we have a separate project management team to support all our client relationship and organizing our schedules are definitely a great advantage that we get as technical testers. Additionally, the team is big and has a variety of talents. You can literally find someone who can help you areas that you need assistance with. People are always willing to help each other. Finally, Optiv itself is one of the fastest growing company and is well respected in the cybersecurity field. There will be enormous opportunities here and you will find interesting projects and famous companies to work with. Amazing place to work as a penetration tester!
Cons
It can be just other side of working remote, but if you are not in some of the cities that we have office places, it might be hard to see your colleagues in person. But if you like to work 100% remote (like I do), it shouldn't be an issue.
