Pros

Technical excellence, deep bench, SE team was great

Cons

Mid level management were sometimes unfair, little upward mobility, quotas were unfair, bro culture, it was really hard to get meetings/ customer responses, pay was very low.

Cons

Take the negative reviews on this page seriously. The achilles heel at Optiv is the leadership at the very top. There is no consistent vision, only shifting priorities, and performative messaging. Strategic direction is mercurial and often contradictory, resulting in confusion and reactivity rather than thoughtful leadership. The executive team doesn’t seem to care about employees- only optics. It is clear there is no real understanding of the business, and poor decisions are put on the shoulders of the employees leaving them drained. Career growth and advancement opportunities are largely non existent. Healthcare benefits are horrendous, and despite years of complaints no real efforts have been made to improve them. Until there is new leadership proceed with extreme caution.
