      Hourly rate is good for most positions.

      Cons

      Whatever job it is or for whatever reason you are contemplating going to Optiv, change your mind. Anything else is better than changing your career (and your life) to come work for these clowns. Terrible management; the worst benefits; half a percent 401K match; owned by hedge fund who only cares about how many MILLIONS of profit they are making while all employees are treated terribly.

      Broken promises, counterproductive finance process, and mis management

      Optiv has a policy that takes away bonuses for all employees if they don't make their inflated EBITDA regardless of their personal performance. 4 quarters of missing EBITDA and a bonus heavy compensation package made me look elsewhere. Internally their finance structure is set up to drive internal competition that really hurts collaboration between groups. The Accuvant and Fishnet merger has left too many people in political positions, management needs to hire a business consultant to come in and re-org. No one from the outside has stayed more than a few years here - only the promise of fat payouts keep them for their contract..
