Pros

The entire organization is rallying right now to deliver on transformational change. There is a motivating sense of urgency to accomplish clear goals. There is a work hard/play hard atmosphere. Managers encourage independent thought, while also maintaining team spirit. Although the organization is large in terms of impact and revenue, it feels close-knit and lean. It's easy to navigate company resources compared to other firms. I find management is accessible and integrates a wide variety of ideas. There is a very deep bench of talent to work with. This is a winning team of professionals with high standards of performance.

Cons

Benefits are getting better right now, which will make the pay package even more competitive. I'm pretty sure Optiv will be adding 401(k) matching. I believe they will also be funding a portion of HSA accounts. That is something to ask about to confirm.

Pros

My favorite aspects of Optiv are the PEOPLE and the PURPOSE. The PEOPLE are amazing. Intelligent, helpful, and motivated folks who take pride/ownership in their work. There may be a few negative nellies around due to the integration but they'll weed themselves out soon enough. The PURPOSE of a company like Optiv is inspiring - who wouldn't want to be "the good guys" and help secure the information of the world's most desirable enterprises? I can share my data as a consumer with certain companies because I trust the work that Optiv has done to protect them.

Cons

Take two high-performing companies full of high-energy folks that are driven to do the right thing, add in a bunch of integration uncertainty, and speed bumps are going to feel like driving off a cliff. There is still lots of change taking place, so if someone isn't ready for a challenge or isn't comfortable with change, it may not be for them till after integration stabilizes. Benefits are being realigned and don't seem like a positive change to legacy FishNet folks, but would probably seem fine to a new hire. Folks just don't appreciate what they have till it's gone.

Pros

Management listens to employees, our team has had multiple ideas put into production that originated from team members. This leads to a very nice structure to where you feel as though you can contribute to the company.

Cons

Insurance is good but a touch on the expensive side. Other than that, I have no complaints about working at Optiv so far.
