      Pros

      Coworkers work very hard and are very smart (may be a con if you want to get ahead or coast somewhere, this is not that place)

      Cons

      Politics at many levels, promotions/leveling seem arbitrary Various senior hires made that get paid 2x 4x what people who started out of college and been working a few years make. These senior hires do not contribute 2x or 4x the value

      Pros

      Transparent and honest communication. The atmosphere of working for the same goal. There's generally a fair amount of trust and goodwill. No pressure to stick to long hours if you don't want to. Great high-frequency options data. I've seen some comments about the lack of gender diversity, but I think things have been changing for the better.

      Cons

      The statistical/mathematical modelling is somewhat lacking, and it might be challenging to grow in those aspects while working here. Some traders have an aggressive communication style, which can be draining and unhelpful, especially if you share it. Might be a common theme in the industry. We've got a few young pestiferous traders on the floor.
