Cons

I have been looking to work for this company for a while and applied for a home assessment Nurse practitioner position. I was offered a position and accepted it. I submitted a resignation with my previous employer and on my last day Optum called me to tell me they made a mistake and my NP credentials are not ones they accept. This is after receiving clearance from HR and the credentialing department and being reassured I am all set to start. There is not communication in this company. after my offer was rescinded (and I was left unemployed with a house and car and 2 small children and no income) I continued to receive their equipment and emails regarding orientation. When I addressed this situation with HR I was met with a lack of accountability, a lack of empathy and a complete lack of compassion. I lost months of income, I had to pull my toddler out of her day car because I could no longer afford it and I the security of how I am putting food on the table. All this as a highly qualified and skilled nurse practitioner. Of note, I was asked by the company to facilitate the return of their equipment. they asked me to ship their boxes back. I advised I will be leaving them right where they were dropped off. no one replied to my emails and I still have their stuff on my property with no ETA on pick up. completely unprofessional, from the average HR person, to the nursing managers, to the credentialing department.
