My Experience with Optum

Pros

- You can expect a world class exposure. - Worked with Scrum Masters based in US and they really set the standard. - You can expect a good, knowledgeable and supportive Product Owners. - If your communication is weak, you will get enough chance to get the same improved. - Building Facility (Admin) are also good.

Cons

- Since it's a big company with a lot of old employees, there is a lot of Politics. - If the Manager is not supportive, your life would be a Lil miserable. - Same rules are not applicable for below manager and above manager employees( dissolved Associate Lead position but not Associate Director position). - There is a bias as per the Managers comfort level during the appraisal cycle. - I assisted the team to have a 100% automation, but credit went to the Manager ( my reason of leaving the company) - HR play around senior management.

Great work Life balance. Management is good. Management works on to improve move to modern technologies.

Cons

Salary used to be higher but now it's just average kite other big techs. No QA roles as hiring only FSE
