Pros

Great products and a continually evolving product portfolio so you get the chance to be at the edge of technology developments and trends. You have the opportunity to make your mark but you need to be highly motivated and capable to get there and remain.

Cons

Ever increasing inward focus on who is doing what and why. Self-service applies to everything so you need to sort out any issues yourself such as pc problems, career development etc.

Pros

Oracle is a solid, stable company with excellent benefits and salary. The company provides a great onsite gym, free soda and coffee and spacious work environment. The hours are reasonable and the company is flexible with work arrangements (flexible hours, working from home, etc.)

Cons

Most people in my group went for years without a salary increase. This may be getting better now, however. ADF framework is mandatory for most software development projects whether it's the right technology or not. This limits exposure to other technologies that are popular in the industry.
