      Pros

      It's a nice way to get hands-on experience for large-scale software deployment. You will meet a lot of people, travel to cool and not-so-cool places, and see the project lifecycle.

      Cons

      You will be expected to travel as much as needed depending on the project demands. This could be anywhere from 50% to 90% travel. In addition, your travel/deliverables is predicated by the project contract, which may result in you having to travel despite needing to actually be there.
