Pros

Having stock options that could actually be exercised for non-trivial amounts of cash is pretty awesome. Oracle has many vendor relationships (with Apple and Verizon, for example) that provide employee discounts to Oracle employees.

Cons

Very Large Company. All HR is virtual. All IT is virtual. No special visibility in management decisions. You really feel like a numbered cog in a very large machine.

Pros

Provide opportunities for career development including paying for Masters and frequent internal course offerings. Entirely self service to the point of ridiculousness.

Cons

Overly bureaucratic and highly process focused sometimes to the point of absurdity. No access to or feedback from senior management often feels like they are operating in a vacuum.
