Pros

The people make this company great. I truly enjoy everyone involved throughout my training, on my team, and in management. People are willing to help when on the same team, and help you get through the often frustrating times at Oracle. Pay is competitive. Food is great. Hours flexible. Gym is incredible. A lot of fun social activities, depending on manager

Cons

Everything depends on your team. The company is so large that management has its disconnects. Quotas and metrics can change instantly without the say of directors. In house products are clunky and slow. Far from the city. Bonus pay out is pathetic for applications pillar. They tell you horizontal movement is possible, but it's not likely for 3+ years. Aren't able to choose product you're selling.

Pros

I can't of anything positive I can say.... 20 word minimum required here. Several years ago there used to be bonuses, but not any more.

Cons

Poor, disorganized management for the first half of my time there. Corrupt, manipulative and dishonest management for the last half of my time there. Terrible benefits No required review process to make managers give reviews to employees. No reviews. No raises. No bonuses. Nothing interesting to work on. Working on old technology, oracle is always way behind. Not enough engineers to get the work done well. Too many managers wondering why the work is not getting done. Too many managers manipulating each other and the developers. Too many acquisitions, good people always leave after the acquisition, leaving people who do not know how to get the work done and want just to have a paycheck. Acquisitions seem to leave more management behind... there are layers and layers of managers who do nothing but manipulate each other for territory. It's an absolutely horrible place to work, especially if you take pride in your work and want to work with good, honest people.

Pros

-Good Benefits package -Lots of great employees that really care about their work ethic (management excluded) -Small 'team' buildings/floors on a large campus with creek, ponds and mountain views -Quite a bit of shared office space for longer term employees (not everyone in a cube) -Good learning experience to take to your next job.

Cons

-Inequitable pay for the same job duties/IC code, there is a $20k+/year difference in people salary doing the same job! -Raises/bonuses are non-existent, so if you've been there 1.5 years you WILL be training a new hire making $10k - $15k more a year than you are. I was constantly told "leave Oracle for at least a year and make more somewhere else, then come back and you'll make more than most managers that have stayed the whole time and been promoted." -Promotions often given to those less talented (often the complainers and 'problem children' are promoted). Even IF you get a promotion you will NOT get a raise with that promotion if you are one of the lucky one's that does get a raise at 4-7 years of employment then look forward to a whoopping 3% or less raise, Oracle doesn't keep up with the high cost of living in Bozeman -Management wants you to drink the Kool-Aid, they really don't want your ideas or suggestions, regardless of what they say to you, be forewarned if you do give suggestions consider yourself with a target on your back. -work life balance is non-existent (be prepared, at quarter ends, to work 12-16 hour days, weekends, holidays) -
