      Secure place to work, horrible salary increases.

      Pros

      No concerns of being layed off. The work is generally interesting and not too stressful. Opportunities exist to move around.

      Cons

      8% salary increase over the 10 years I've been at Oracle. Most of the time, no one actually tells you that you didn't get a salary increase. Lots of political BS at Oracle.

      Pros

      The dedication of the employees who really care about their jobs and careers even though there really in no respect for them.

      Cons

      Be prepared for offers that never materialize and also that get rescinded. They take their clients for granted and have a general lack of respect for them. The company seems to have an incredible arrogance towards their clients. It seems as though the cost cutting measures are to enrich the executives at the cost of the average employees.

      UGBU from a "Unique Global business Unit" to a "Ugly Global Business Unit"

      Pros

      In the past ORACLE UGBU was a great place, was a great learning and provided real Team work, real winning spirit, strong growth and significant new client wins. There was strong entrepreneurial drive in the main theaters in US, EMEA, APAC and a strong commitment from the SVP, to the regional VP and every single member.

      Cons

      The senior management changed almost every 12month which created significant disruptions, created doubt and destroyed moral and performance of the teams. Furthermore current senior UGBU management is very egocentric - autocratic and is conducting hiring and promotions based on nepotism - favoritism rather than on merit and performance.
