Pros

They provide an excellent benefits package. They are a big company with lots of options. They make working from home an option. Lots of change Colleagues are some of the best in the business and nicest people

Cons

It is hard to move around the company from position to position It is hard to try something new. Once you are in a bucket, you usually stay there Pay raises are far and few between. In 24 years I got less than 10, even with excellent reviews Their method of laying off good employees is horrible. You have a literally hours to clean up and gather your stuff. Even though employees are not getting raises and bonuses, those top execs take theirs every time Lots of change

Pros

Sense buying out Cerner the Job hasn't really changed much. I am able to work from home.

Cons

Sense Oracle has acquired Cerner the new hires have continued to get increasingly higher salaries. As of right now a new hire makes 7,000 more than I do with two years of experience at the company. The company has decided not to do any raises or promotions this year so new hires with less responsibilities will continue to make more. As a whole oracle has done a terrible job communicating changes to the new company.

Pros

- For those just starting out, it's a good thing to have on your resume - I met some really great people within the company and even made some friends - Certain positions offer remote work - Certain positions offer competitive pay and benefits - Nice building to work out of

Cons

- The company goes through realignment phases and during those phases, you may be let go with no warning - There's no such thing as actual training. You are told what to do and it's up to you to locate the resources you need (usually bothering other senior employees consistently) in order to be successful at your job - Management does not listen to concerns. The needs of the company overall are all that matters to them - The chances of you getting a raise are slim and none. If they really want to hire you, you may be able to get a good salary, but don't expect raises after that unless you are promoted or are shown favoritism
