Pros

Job Security, Brand value, good balance between work life and professional life. Good pay if you join with a high initial package.

Cons

If you don't bargain for a good pay while joining, you may lag behind others for a long time as far as the pay is concerned. There is no relation between designation and your pay. So, a person might be at a high designation but still might be earning less! No Onsite. Even if you go abroad temporarily, you don't get any compensation for that, so you might end up spending from your own pockets.
