Pros

Oracle helps you get a brand name on your CV. There are enough opportunities internally and across divisions to keep climbing regularly. Exceptionally well positioned for the recession.

Cons

With all the M&A activity in the last 4 years the company has become a confusing place to work in. There is too much of change happening all the time. Change is a good thing - in moderation. Unfortunately - Oracle changes for the sake of "change". It is a machine - that will become obsolescent in about ten years - unless they are able to find a way to work with the market - other than muscling their customers.

Pros

Less Bureaucracy, Varied Opportunities, Character of making employees bold and confident, and agressive in their endeavours

Cons

HR as good as inactive. Not a 'People's' company. In Bangalore, lots of regionalism based discrimination by Tamil/Mallu managers
