      Not a great place to work long term...

      Pros

      Stable company. Decent benefits. Some new technologies through acquisition. Some training depending on your manager/department.

      Cons

      - Lack of raises - Promotions do not come with a raise, in fact I lost OT with my promotion so it was really a pay cut after all was said and done (Boy was I surprised!) - Long term Oracle employees (15-30yr) are mostly mediocre at best (Oracle red tape sucks the passion out of people) - Internal tools are terrible - There is a lot of politics

      Pros

      Ability to move up quickly if you are a hard worker. Product is excellent. Internal training classes to improve skills

      Cons

      No flexibility for work/life balance--no telecommuting or working from home one day. Churn and burn employees. Compensation average. Family is secondary to company. People seem to use oracle for experience and then jump ship.
