I understand that these statements make it seem that I was terminated or on a PiP but I'm not. I've just been in this industry at different companies and have a pretty good idea what works and what doesn't.
- You will mostly live off your base salary
- Customers are frustrated with NetSuite's renewal and sales experience of being uplifted, being forced to purchase additional modules just to receive a discount. This screws over the next account manager because the customer wont renew those items.
-Leadership has been at NetSuite so long that they've forgotten what it's like to be in the trenches. They lack true leadership skills and instead will constantly scrutinize you for the way you enter notes in the CRM (NetSuite).
-Fear based sales org where you'll be fearful for your job on a monthly basis.
-Monthly quotas. The sales process on average takes more than a month for most modules.
-Your renewal quota is not based on your actual renewals for the fiscal year, this makes it impossible to ever hit your renewal quota.
-Leadership doesn't care if you retain a customer, they only care about ARR for the business.
-Customer satisfaction is not a metric leadership tracks, they have historically not cared about customer happiness.
- less than 5% of reps in the AMO org are hitting quota. This is by design to avoid having to pay reps big commission checks.
- The compensation is a 50/50 split between base and commission, this is not common for an Account Manager position.
- The office is depressing, there are no perks or amenities besides a coffee machine.
- The culture here is horrendous, there's no budget for any team or department parties or activities.
- People are often applying for jobs at their desk.
- I would not recommend my friends, family, or enemies to work here.
