Pros

Job Security, Market Strength, Broad Product Portfolio

Cons

Size, scattered strategic message (internally), poor internal collaboration across pillars which weakens a key strength (breadth of product portfolio)

Pros

Great benefits. Great location in Nashua NH where you avoid the Boston traffic and the Massachusetts income tax if you live in New Hampshire. Very flexible environment. You can work from home whenever you need to. There's not much stress, at least not in my team. You can move around to other groups if you want to work on something different.

Cons

Raises are non-existent from my experience. You can go years without a single raise, and if you do get one, it's a very small one. From what I hear, promotions are hard to get also. If you apply for an internal job, it is company policy that you cannot get a raise or a promotion (title change), so all moves within the company are lateral. Oracle is just not a fun and exciting company to work for. If you are looking for an exciting environment where you can advance in your career, this isn't the place for you. Not many young people work here, and there's a good reason for that. If you are looking for a place that is comfortable and flexible and you value that way more than money, career advancement and a fun culture, this may be the place for you.

Good Benefits, horrible compensation

Pros

They have really good benefit package if you have a family. Also they have flex time which makes it great if you are a single parent. Awesome learning and self development sources that are backed by the Oracle brand which has a lot of weight in the industry.

Cons

No room to grow. I had a couple of coworkers that have applied to higher positions within the company with no success. The compensation in comparison with the rest of the industry is way low to the point where I have seen many people walking out because of the company's lack of interest to keep experienced individuals paid accordingly. If you happen to be from one of their acquired companies... you're better off starting to look for another company, their high recognized brand is not reflected in the salaries.
