      Pros

      - Stable company - Good medical benefits - Flexible working hours - Work-life balance - Management does make an effort to listen to employees concerns and tries to address them within their power.

      Cons

      - No clear strategy - Being part of a company that was acquired, culture differences with bigger Oracle still happens. - Tries to invent the wheel with unsatisfying results (ex. software tools and frameworks). - Working with offshore resources demands more time and effort (rework. - Approval chain to get something done hinders creativity.

      We only got 25% of our bonuses if we were ex sun microsystems employees after the merge. Very underpaid

      Pros

      Oracle is a very humane company to work for. The work atmosphere is exceptionally conducive to employees and complete freedom is given to transfer within groups. The pace of work is usually quite manageable, especially when compared to other IT companies.

      Cons

      The company is too big and it is easy to get lost. Some groups, especially those working on legacy products, tend to use outdated technology and career prospects could be limiting n such situations.
