Storage is Dead

Pros

Was great that I was picked up and acquired twice. Oracle storage was last place to work. Well they managed to keep storage alive for a little while. I think that Larry wanted a full stack to compete against IBM, but unfortunately he lost that battle.

Cons

For a large company they really lack depth and vision in the the storage picture. Appears that they think the future is the cloud. Too bad that they spent large dollars on trying to secure some of the best tape libraries and drives to be had. They were always software focused, so it no wonder they never understood the hardware business.
