Pros

it is stable. Benefits are not bad. Most of groups have less workload. It is a good place for people who like stability and less work.

Cons

No Salary raise even if you got promoted. No bonus. The politics are pretty severe. Many managers are no technical oriented.

Pros

Work from home is available in many teams, flexible schedule, medical insurance, brand name, internal technical meetings (brown bags), a good chance to get java news earlier

Cons

Salary is not so high, salary increases once a year (or more rarely), bureaucracy is extremely high

Pros

Good managers (you can learn from them), plenty of time to learn new things, flexible hours, you get more responsibilities as long as you show you can handle them. Tight death lines are rare.

Cons

There are coworkers that under perform, managers know it and do nothing. Some people get stuck in customer support and that's it for the rest of their life.
