Pros

The company was able to attract caring, dedicated employees due to the potential of the product lines.

Cons

Management and owners weren't fully committed to the long term that a Biotech company needs to be.

Politics matter.

Pros

Products are second to none -- quality of life improves for patients using Apligraf or Dermagraft.

Cons

Company was seriously impacted from changes in CMS rulings regarding reimbursement. Communications from the top are weak. Company vision is vague and appreciation of employee dedication is lip service.

Lousy management destroys growing company

Pros

The company will show you where you don't want to work in a matter of weeks.

Cons

The environment was friendly when I first started. It seemed like the company really cared about it's employees but that wasn't even close to being accurate. It didn't take long for management to create a revolving door. The worst department was quality, seemed like they were losing a person each day. No one in upper management seemed to care. After a while it became blatantly obvious everyone was out to protect their own job, if that meant spreading lies or taking credit for someone else's work so be it. Quality was always blaming the other groups for mistakes and never took responsibility for their own mistakes, they would just cover it up or blame another group for going rogue.
