Pros

Coworkers below management level are great. You develop great friendships. Pay is good and so are the benefits. But vacation sucks.

Cons

Office is in the middle of nowhere. Not great during the winter or when thinking about lunch options. Also, company is not good at promoting from within. Such a lean company that no room for advancement unless your boss leaves but even then, new management is bringing in their people so internal candidates are not given a fair chance.

Pros

Pay was good. Benefits were good. Friday BBQs were good.

Cons

Safety is touted highly, but not taken seriously (e.g. hazard studies show a particular task to be too dangerous to execute gets over-ridden by management because they need the task completed). Direction changes too often to accomplish anything. This doesn't work well in an R&D environment. Middle management could be better. They don't make any decision and simply relay direction from upper management.

Pros

Great work environment, good people, training opportunities are ok, good vacation or time-off policies.

Cons

Global work, so have to attend late night meetings or early morning meetings.
