Pros

Overall the Rollins family is trying to run an ethical company and do the right thing for it's customers. The training is very thorough and there are some very good people working for the company that truly want to provide the best customer service possible.

Cons

Region and division management often look the other way or fail to thoroughly audit their branches if their numbers are good. This is due to the fact that the annual "President's Club" competition is a very lucrative reward for those branches, regions, and divisions that finish the year as the "best" in the company in several categories such as customer retention. For example, the Michigan Region as part of the Midwest Division has consistently been rewarded with President's Club honors even though for years numbers were not being truthfully reported and both through the lack of thorough auditing and looking the other way region and division management have been to these lucrative trips.

Pros

Good pay and generally friendly management and coworkers .

Cons

No work /life balance you are required to work 6 days a week and pretty much have to beg and bargain for an extra day off , management provides and orders equipment but don't ask for anything you want because if the manager doesn't like the product you won't get it (My service manager didn't believe in ant baits , really !) , branch level is given too much power so every branch is different (Its like having two McDonalds across the street from each other and one makes Big Mac's one way but the other makes them completely different ) Hours are long and miserable especially if you're a termite or commercial tech , worked at a branch that had one guy that was their go to guy and they abused him giving 19 or more commercial stops to do and working him late into the night at times . I have worked for other companies in the past and this one seemed to be the most strangest one as far as philosophy and training and as far as pest knowledge . They still use an outdated system with their Whitmire System 3 that most other major companies have abandoned (B & G 's were forbidden in my branch but other branches had them , this goes back to the branch thing .) The last company I worked for referred to them as OrKan't and I know know why ! I've since left the pest industry and I thank God every day .

Pros

For a company with enough money to put their name on a building at Texas A and M, you would think that they'd be willing to pay their employees a decent salary to try and keep them at the company. Think again.

Cons

Pay is very low. Sales people and technicians are constantly running over each other to try to make sales. There is no spirit of teamwork or loyalty. The company doesn't care about you...it's all about the money. Technology is extremely outdated. The paperwork for a sale is ridiculous and long. Handwritten contracts are extremely unprofessional, but Orkin uses them. Some managers are out of control with the micro management and corporate does nothing to pull them back in. Managers are constantly changing with no consistancy in policies.
