Pros

Great training program, wonderful healthcare benefits through the hospital, especially prenatal care. Food options at the hospitals are pretty good. You have a good mix of really good hearted workers who truly care for the patients and then an equal amount of employees who could care less, so be wise to who you befriend.

Cons

Very poorly run, very little chance for you to move up in the company unless you know someone. The compensation is absolutely pathetic for all the work you are doing. Unless you have been with the company a year you can count on only getting 6 weeks no pay leave for maternity, if you are lucky that is. And forget about any short term disability they fight you tooth and nail for maternity leave. I would never go back to the company because of the way they treated me when I went out for maternity leave, plus the pay wouldn't cover the cost of day care.

Pros

It gave a paycheck and benefits. Relatively easy to work in different departments and many locations for work make for easy commute.

Cons

Decades of short-sighted leadership resulted in handing outpatient services dominance to a competitor. Expect reduced benefits & pay in 2016 and forward due to an extremely poor financials. Human Resources history of tightening policies, less control for frontline managers.

Pros

I loved my time at Orlando Health. They provide the best patient care in Central Florida, in my opinion. For me, that makes the biggest difference in my employment satisfaction--I don't care how much I am getting paid if it means selling my soul to the devil. I need to be able to sleep at night knowing that someone's family member is receiving good quality, compassionate care.

Cons

The company seemed to have a lot of politics. The place is run by cliquish management and you either fit or you don't. Then they have to pay consulting firms a million dollars to investigate why the company isn't doing better.
