We are glad that you are enjoying our insurance benefits, and we are happy to discuss your concerns regarding PTO. In a healthcare setting, patient care operates 365 days a year. Instead of having separate "buckets" for vacation, sick time, and holidays, all of this time is pooled into one flexible PTO bank. Team members can draw from this pool whenever they take time off, whether it’s for a summer vacation or a designated holiday. If a facility closes for a federal holiday, team members use PTO from their bank to receive pay for that day. If a team member works a holiday, they keep their PTO in their bank to use for another personal day, plus they may receive premium "holiday pay" for working the shift.
