Pros
I worked in the IT Group for 3 years and found my coworkers a fantastic group to work with. I worked closely with nurses, pharmacists, physicians, and support (finance\billing) and have nothing but positive things to say about MOST the employees from the hourly up to management. The facilities are well maintained, even in some of the older buildings on campus. There is plenty of covered parking so you don't get into an oven at the end of the day.
Cons
The biggest problem at Orlando Health is HANDS DOWN, the executive leadership. This includes the board of directors and the CIO for example. ** Please note that the CEO Jamal Hakim is NOT one of the problems ** The decisions made by these individuals are very self-serving. When a good idea is presented, it is shot down because it could will bring to the surface how poor of a a decision was made. It has put the low and mid level management into the attitude of "I can't make things better, so why try". In a sense, the best way to describe when a problem is found is to simply bury the problem. That or put more gold plating on a that steaming pile of $h1t. With the exception of a few individuals, the pay is vastly below what you can make elsewhere, and the organization does a poor job trying to retain good talent.
