High nurse patient ratios, promotions and transfers blocked by managers, no promotion from within. Recently observed a very meticulous, dedicated caring employee of 5 years finish nursing school and have to leave the company to go to a competitor because no one would promote this person within the organization. This person was everything you could want in a nurse or employee and yet they would rather lose this person completely than help their employee grow, like they say they do. Management will ask you to stay over or come in to help on your day off and then "flex" you and send you home on your regularly scheduled day to keep you from getting overtime. They will not tell you you are going to be flexed until 2 hrs before your scheduled shift, so you can't even make alternate plans ahead of time. Conditions have been steadily deteriorating for quite some time now.
