Pros

-starting pay is good for entry-level in NC -full benefits -depending on your office, nice coworkers for the most part -set schedule for this role and many others (but not all)

Cons

-being a PSC is more like being call center/triage (but can't give clinical info)/switchboard. It is way too many responsibilities for one team and the company expects goals that are way too high for the amount of people to handle.

The administrator that I worked for and my manager for the position I worked at was understanding.

Cons

Most of the staff, physicians, PA-C, surgery schedulers looked down on our position. They treated us like scum, unless they needed something from us. As a heath care organization the first priority should be the patient, I had to deny patients care because a) they had a bill starting at $5.00 in collections and/or b) an extremely high bill that just came out that the patient could not may upon visit.
