      Pros

      Trauma Bonding- you learn to grow with the team that you were left with after layoffs upon acquisition Pay is decent- they price you out of getting similar level jobs (to make sure they do not have mass exodus)

      Cons

      Everyone truly hates each other- the lack of respect towards one another and cross functional teams is traumatic and upsetting to say the least Hard to find someone who has not cried in or outside of the office Horrifically decorated office, hardly an inspiration for creation and innovation Not sure how long these brands will last before their ultimate demise (due to severe lack of resources)

      We regret that you had a negative experience. We understand that the transition had some bumps in the road, and we appreciate how hard everyone is working to support these beautiful brands. Thank you for recognizing our pay is very competitive. Finally, regarding office space, as with any new home, we are constantly looking for ways to improve the office to achieve a great space to work.

      Good Solid Brands that have respect in the industry

      Cons

      No plan was in place when they started in regards to the heart of the company , the people. Lack of explanation of benefits, organizational charts, and new company systems. Promoted people one month and demoted or let go the next month. Had national sales call with Laura Mercier the founder, and CEO spoke about his wonderful lunch on the French Rivera with Her and how this company was a different cosmetic company which took care of their people, next day let go over 100 executives. BAD TIMING... CEO did not know this? could have delayed call.

      Thank you for recognizing our 3 beautiful brands. As a new company setting up as a standalone business rather than part of a larges business - processes and systems are not always in place right away. We’re working to improve the way we work as a team and organization. As we set up the new company we had to look at what the right organization and resourcing was to make us successful - unfortunately employee impacts are sometimes a result of that. This is a decision we never take lightly.

      Pros

      Brands have potential for success.

      Cons

      You have to accept that you will have no life working here. I would expect frequent reorganizations as this company values profits over people. One bad quarter and the reorg. talks begin. Management is desperate to portray the company as forward thinking and moving while not taking into account their teams suggestions, tenure and real lived experience. Expect to work with the bottom of the barrel as compensation is the lowest in the industry across all positions. Constant turnover, no support for teams that have lost key talent. Sycophantic behavior is encouraged.

As we’re building our organization for the future, this means looking at the organization as a whole to make sure we are the right size and unfortunately employee impacts are sometimes a result of that. This is a decision we never take lightly and always try to support our employees through transition.
