Pros

OutboundEngine is a company that I am proud to work at. There is an excellent training program for new hires and continued daily training for veterans. The culture at this company is what motivates me to continue coming to work. The people who work here push you to your potential and want you to succeed. While the job is demanding, it's extremely rewarding. Being a fast growing startup, there is a lot of room for upward mobility into management and even higher pay as a sales rep. If you're willing to put in the effort during work hours you'll reap the benefits of a higher base salary, higher commissions, and quarterly bonuses. Not to mention the team building events outside of work and vacation/cash prizes for top reps are pretty enticing.

Cons

Sometimes the kitchen isn't always stocked with enough snacks. If you don't ask for help and if you're not willing to push yourself, you may get left behind.

Pros

I have nothing positive to say about this company.

Cons

They are a very shady company with several complaints about the services they want you to push on people DAILY. 100+ calls to unsuspecting people a day, from leads that they obtain the wrong way. They don't practice professional policies, and outsource every department which is a circus to deal with if you have any issues. Hr, Payroll, etc. Their higher ups have favorites there and churn out new hires every few weeks. They speak to people like dogs, and use bullying tactics to force you to quit, etc. Don't fall for the time off and incentives that they use to entice you, this place is bad news and I don't see a good future for them. Shame on the snakes that run this 'business'.

OutboundEngine Response

Thanks very much for writing a review and for your feedback. I apologize that you did not have a good experience working at OutboundEngine. We go into every relationship with a new employee expecting that it’s for the long haul, and I’m sorry that things did not work out between us. We hold ourselves to high business conduct standards. We have sought out and obtained Better Business Bureau (BBB) accreditation, and have an A rating. As a BBB Accredited Business, we have hold ourselves to their code of advertising as well as their code of business practices. We take employee satisfaction very seriously. We were named one of Austin's Best Places to Work in 2013, and are quite proud of our high rating here on Glassdoor. Like most small businesses, we have outsourced some of our services where it makes sense for our business in order to reduce costs and allow us to grow our business faster. As we have grown, we have brought more and more things in house. For example, we hired a VP of Finance in the fall, and brought in most of the accounting that we previously outsourced. In addition to that we've grown our sales management team and are currently hiring internal HR resources. We have grown so much in the last few months and we definitely want to strive to make our workplace even better. We appreciate the feedback and will continue to work hard to prevent experiences such as yours from occurring again.

Pros

A fast growing startup with a great team and a great place to work. OutboundEngine was just voted one of Austin's 65 best places to work and is a great environment for employees. Great wages, great team and just a great place to work.

Cons

While they provide parking, it is spread out and you have to sometimes walk a distance to get to the office.
