Pros

High energy and volume, fun sassy environment Really focused on making money and being cool Works well for certain types, but lots of pressure to conform great stepping stone gig

Cons

Elitist, only want people exactly like them (not uncommon, but they think every other industry is crap or a broken system, and theirs is awesome) Only hires hipsters and tools like themselves, and although they talk about individuality and uniqueness, god forbid you actually are (and not like them). Sadly they will probably make a fortune with a regurgitated product. But what do you expect, they are in advertising.

Pros

A culture of meritocracy and responsibility to doing awesome work. People whose drive and curiosity make them get up in the morning would love working here.

Cons

As with any startup with big goals, the atmosphere can vary from intense to banal. The traditional newspaper industry is hurting and flailing, and that can make serving them feel like navigating choppy waters.
