Pros

Opportunities globally. Management will challenge you to achieve results. Company is very detail and quality focussed. Education is critical and company will support employees who desire to advance their degrees, provided the employee has shown leadership and committment to their roles.

Cons

Sometimes too top down in focus. will tolerate some mistakes, but if get on the "not popular" list can be a long time getting off.

Pros

I feel relatively secure in my job. You have the ability to take control of your job and own it. If you have a good boss your job is exponentially better (there are many great managers there, a few not-so-good). Retirement plan appears strong.

Cons

(Aside from cutting edge engineering/technical advancement of PACCAR's products) The company is very bottom line driven and slow to add "new" anything (positions, computers, processes) as economy recovers. Compensation feels lower than peers at other local companies.

Pros

Benefits package is good, was better before the downturn, but better than most. And currently still offers a pension to non-union employees.

Cons

SALARY!!!! WAGES!!!! Tough to break the a "ceiling" if you are female or minority. The company was ran better when Charles was CEO. A whole location workforce is "punished" for one persons wrongdoing, rather than dealing with the individual responsible for actions. Do not call the ethics hotline for anything, you will end up paying for it in the long run, regardless of legitimacy of your issue. Anonymous, it is not.
