      Smart people who are willing to help and share information.

      Cons

      Management is clueless sometimes and working hard and doing a good job are not always rewarded. There are a lot of politics at PECO

      Pros

      The people I dealt with directly were nice. The rate was satisfactory.

      Cons

      The company is a dinosaur. Communication is not good at all. For many years PECO was a monopoly, and the company still acted as if it was the case. The software is really outdated; no good ERP in place. The company tried to cut costs; decisions seemed to be made on a whim.

      Pros

      The pay and benefits are top notch.

      Cons

      PECO has become a "corporate" utility. I.e. you won't be working 40 hours a week like the old days. There are not very many opportunities for advancement at the Exelon utilities (PECO Energy, Commonwealth Edison). However, there are many opportunities within Exelon in the Nuclear, Power, and PowerTeam business units.
