Pros

Beware of the WestPoint CEO, comes across as good ole boy that really cares about you. Guess what? He doesn’t. Where told and praised about the how we had record year profits and that are jobs were secure, only 2 months later whole team gets pink slip. Later there is news about CEO buying a 15 million Jet to fly around to places where he is not needed. The money could have been used for employees to keep our jobs. This Jet will cost PenFed money long term with hanger fees, pilots, and jet fuel. This company is a not-for profit and this is how they blow they money we worked too hard to make. To me, this is an irresponsible decision by PenFed. Been in mortgage for long time, these companies are all the same, they line their own pockets and disappointed but not surprised.

Cons

Operations think they are above it all

Pros

Quick hiring process that was nice

Cons

Toxic environment, management makes moves to tear you down instead of building you up. It reduces the number of staff leaving certain departments. If you make a mistake you're not spoken to like an adult, instead you're scolded like a child. Quarterly review have left me with job performance review anxiety. Despite working collections, we're heavily "encouraged" to compete with our coworkers so we can get the dimes and nickels they call raises. The eugene center takes on the brunt of the work and regularly has to contend with that fix the errors made by other centers. I couldn't leave this company fast enough and I'm disgusted that its toxicity still affects me in my new company. A company who's management is absolutely disgusted with how lower tier employees are treated at PenFed.

Pros

Decent paying part time job with Paid time off and sick time.

Cons

Due to corporate reconfiguration they just laid off 200 employees after promising no lay offs for years. No advancement opportunities with part time. Treated differently than full time employees. Put down for your improvement suggestions. Made to feel by management that your issues don't matter and to just suck it up.
