Pros

Good possibility of working with really talented developers.

Cons

A lot of overhead that leads to not having specific ownership of products. Difficult to get communication from different teams time-wise. Sometimes requests take over a week. At times upper mgmt. steps in order to escalate issues due to lack of response.
