Cons

PLS has the most unethical hiring process and practices I’ve ever experienced. I’ve been gainfully employed ever since I graduated from college with great companies and PLS is by far the worst experience I’ve had with starting as a new hire - and it is not even close. PLS went on TWO hiring freezes after I accepted my offer letter and completed preemployment tasks. They pushed my start date back twice on extreme short notice due to “cleaning things up” internally and asked for MY commitment to accept new start date both times or they would rescind offer. I past up several opportunities with other companies for an invisible start date for a bush-league company with oblivious internal retention and turnover issues. DO NOT APPLY IF YOU VALUE YOUR TIME AND KEEP YOUR WORD. Too many companies appreciate candidates with real sales experience, don’t waste your time with this one

We appreciate your feedback. During the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, we had to the difficult decision to make budget cuts and had to rescind employment offers like many businesses during the economic shutdown. While we know this must have been difficult for you, we assure you this is not reflective our standard hiring practice at PLS. Please email our human resources department at hr@plslogistics.com with any further information or feedback. - PLS Management

Pros

Free Trip! - Will invite you to onsite training in Pittsburgh. Do yourself a favor and use this opportunity to see a great city for a week while your bill is picked up by the greedy self inflated CEO Gregg Burns. Outward appearances- Office locations are in high rent buildings and are quite nice. This will be helpful when keeping up the guise of this being a real career to your friends and family. Office culture- Office decor is full of cringy meme posters and local sports hero wall decals... I image this is what a daycare for 20 something dudes would look like. At EOD you get the exciting opportunity to WATCH the existing staff shoot golfballs for potential prizes come Friday. This activity is only made better because it starts 10 minutes after the stop time listed in the offer letter. (Example: letter says 4:30pm... Game starts at 4:40pm and you don't get to your car until 5pm. This is a great suprise when highway 75 is your route home. :) Path to Success- Once back home, attend atleast 3 days in the office, collect your first paycheck, and use the remaining time to look for actual company to work for.,

Cons

Everything and all things are terrible

Pros

Get a basic understanding into the logistics industry and business in general. ...a good introduction to the real world

Cons

The CEO has no management skills, apparently lacks any capacity to effectively plan his company’s future, and will fire entire divisions on a whim. He is known to throw items (pens, computer keyboards, his glasses) at his managers in fits of rage. I wouldn’t trust him to make a sandwich properly....forget about him being able to run a successful company. This is what happens when someone rich decides to buy and run a company (as opposed to someone who becomes a CEO based on his/her leadership ability). Oh yeah, the work environment fostered by the CEO is toxic and you’ll witness the occasional instance of sexual harassment.
