Pros

PLS offers tremendous opportunity. Although it is very demanding and a nice challenge, there is plenty of room for growth. Management does a great job at providing the necessary resources to help you succeed. It is a great work environment and your success lies solely on you and your drive to be successful.

Cons

For Account Executive Trainees, it can be mentally tough to hear rejections and the whole process itself is a challenge in general. The first year or two you will need to put in your hours, again, it is only for your own good.....but there are some long days for sure.

Pros

Fellow Account Execs, are decent people but the company forces them to be snakes towards their customers and carriers. If you love sales or logistics, this is a great job to add to your resume, then go somewhere else where they'll value your sales talent! That's it! You'll eventually be fired!!! But, WTH, none of you will believe these reviews anyhow! You'll see at the end of your first month at PLS!

Cons

In the 9 months that I've worked in the Dallas office, they pretty much sold me a dream of making a lot of money, BUT they don't allow you enough time to grow as a sales person (Most people are fired by their "second month of sales" for not hitting required benchmarks. I've seen a lot of people come and go in the little time that I was there. They will tell you not to believe these reviews, but during my time here I found that the majority of the negative reviews are correct!!! If you're looking for longevity/stability don't waste your time here!!! It will stress you the hell out by trying to get temporary rewards only to be fired in a couple of months (with them shoving your non-compete in your face, demanding that you don't go work for their competition). Owe yea, benefits are bare minimum with a $2,000 deductible no copay.

Pros

Good Benefits and a respectable base salary of 32K.

Cons

PLS preys upon the naivety of recent college graduates! The company has no intentions of retaining employees. It's a scheme to build as many accounts as possible while eliminating as many people as possible (a lean and mean philosophy). The company brings in training classes every 2-3 months and educates them on the basic functions of the job. However, by your third month you're expected to solicit (through cold calling) to businesses and build a book of your own clients. As each month goes by in the selling phase the numbers and expectations are doubled from the previous month until the point where they'll fire you and assign the book you built to other account executives. In 9-10 months if you sell well enough you'll become commissionable however you'll work strictly off of a draw and if one of your clients doesn't pay their bills on time then YOU owe PLS money back. If you're considering a growth opportunity in sales look elsewhere. If you're a college educated mind and have business acumen hold out for something better. This is NOT the place to launch a career.
