Pros

Most of the people who are account executive trainees are likable and easy to work with... you're all in the same boat and you support each other. You will probably make a lot of good friends. Also, you gain a lot of knowledge of the transportation industry through the initial training.

Cons

You are pretty much expected to fail. Even trainees that were used as examples of doing well in some of the training classes ended up getting fired in the long run. It doesn't always matter if you try really, really hard and make a lot of cold calls... sometimes the market just is bad, or you won't call the right people, and you will end up getting fired. But that's a sales job, I suppose.... but they really don't care if you succeed. No one gets too attached to each other. Just not a great environment to work in....

Pros

It's a large workforce that is young and easygoing. Dual monitors at each desk. Good people that are willing to help. Computer and phone based job. Relatively close to Pittsburgh. Fully commissionable after 9 months with the company. Not much corporate politics found at many other white collar jobs. Big earning potential for young 20 somethings.

Cons

Long hours 55-60 hr/wk. Heavy expectations on cold calling and solicitation through telemarketing. Days generally start at 7:45am and go until past 5:30pm. You're a salesman and will have benchmarks to meet in order to progress and keep your job. Success is not guaranteed. Heavy industry focus.
