Pros

laid back office. No no one breathing down your neck. My office felt friendly for the most part. Good memories from that place. Met some cool people (you'll meet alot of people because its a revolving door of employees)

Cons

Needed better system for receiving calls. Unfortunately many trainies don't make it because they get caught up in admin support for the account executives. It is definetely a cut throat feeling. The sales are not to support the office but more about every executive for their self. I guess it works for them somehow, but I like companies who try to have more teamwork. The revolving door of new people isn't good for employee moral or development. I am not sure how they survive but I guess it is just from the crumbs of business left over after the brand recognition companies have made the real money.

Pros

1. Culture- The culture and the company's training and development are my biggest pros. The balance between enjoying work and working hard at the St. Louis office is makes it an ideal place to build a career with. The office manager really sets this in motion and it was obvious that it trickles down with everyone else. 2. Training- I didn't have a strong understanding of the 3PL and Freight industry before PLS's training. PLS uses a multi-prong approach: class room, experiential, and mentoring to teach their trainees everything they need to know about the industry before they start talking with customers and carriers. That helped alot. 3. Opportunities to Grow- I could see that PLS is a company that values promoting from within. I noticed that they emphasized positions in other parts of the company to current PLS employees.

Cons

The freight industry starts a little earlier than the traditional 9-5.
