They talk the talk. Clusters in the Northeast Corridor can mean potential opportunities for growth there. Affiliated properties with Hilton and Marriott Brands is appealing.
Cons
They don’t walk the walk. Middleweight company trying to punch above their weight. Seem over-extended and struggle to pay bills consistently, even when their hotels are doing well, which obviously makes life difficult operationally. Corporate HR pays lip service to actually practicing what they preach in terms of enforcing policies and holding senior managers accountable for actually doing reviews. Absolutely tone deaf to the field’s actual needs. Regionals rarely visit properties or call unless they are there to criticize or throw people under the bus for failing to achieve unrealistic expectations that the properties have no say in. Positive reinforcement above the property level is almost non-existent. What a shame.
