Best Job I've Ever Had

Pros

The best thing is knowing that my job is a critical part of making America energy independent. Always a new challenge, not the same old, same old. Great team members. All are willing to pitch in when the situation calls for it. A very smart and hardworking group of people, and its a pleasure to work with them every day. The plant itself is state of the art and everything an op's guy could want. Lots of things to optimize, very robust plant. New system role-out, thanks to R&D and the other plants. How many companies could role out some of the recent major unit operations that POET has in the last year or so? PPM and the other plants- got a question about your plant? There are 27+ people to ask how they do things.

Cons

The movement to all HR related items being on-line has been horrible. If you have a PC at your normal workstation, its nice, but 80% or more of our team does not, and the STANZAifing of all things is a major obstacle. The process has become more important than the content . The PA process now has nothing to do with assessing performance, but is a lesson in resetting passwords countless times.

Pros

Can not think of any except Owner and CEO, president and VP's still micro manage Seems to me they would do better at being a janitor for as much as they trash good employees

Cons

The egos are still present and evident in the SF head quarters It is all about them Spending investors money and taking away the employees 401K for their benifit is wrong
